The Government Center Garage presented some unique problems. It needed to relate physically in its architecture and size to the existing buildings and it had to provide secure access to the State courthouse. The final design resulted in a controlled access environment for judges, courthouse staff and sequestered jurors. The garage also offers approximately two-thirds of its spaces for public use. To ensure safety of court personnel, the garage is connected to the courthouse by an elevated pedestrian bridge.
